Just so you know, several of the people commenting to this post are notorious for avoiding HMDs and crit. It's possible they're doing it on purpose to avoid the HMD, so it might be a good idea to require that they comment to the HMD anyway. I can guarantee that they'll be doing this every month if you don't make that a requirement.

We understand that that's definitely a possibility, but as several players have already claimed their return and moved on from the post, it would be messy to start requiring a HMD comment now. However, since this round is a special occasion to accommodate for the hectic week, starting next month the HMD will be required regardless for latecomers, if we continue to enforce a warning list. We intend to make this clear by the next update wrapping up the AC entirely, and hope this helps in resolving the issue of those who would avoid the check on purpose.

Hey Mods! This is Megs, with Chloe Saunders(necromancer.) Chloe is a genetically modified necromancer, so it is easier for her than should be possible to communicate with ghosts, sense the dead, put spirits back in their dead bodies, and mentally push spirits away from her and into some other realm when they become too much to deal with.

Normally I assume all her powers are exceedingly dulled down, but I was wondering if it would matter whether she can sense dead things or not. Would vampires (without a heartbeat) be an example of something she might be able to sense? Would it be an ability that is now faulty, and rarely works? If there ever are 'dead' characters in game, could I get mun permission for her to sense that?

For the vampire instance, it would be best to consult the player of that character before making the assumption, so mun permission is essentially all you'd need. Her powers will stay intact in the game.

In terms of the local folk, Chloe will find that there are no ghostly presences in any part of the country. And if there are any, they'd be more like a whisper at best, denying her concrete evidence of them being there.

I'd like to suggest that you somehow make the day ratio longer. Working on a 1:1 day ration for such a laid-back game is a little taxing to a lot of players who can't be around often. Especially since frequently days and days will go by in-game before they can post again because the day ratio is so short. Even a 3:1 day ratio would make things a lot less hectic for people, though I would personally prefer something closer to a 5:1 ratio.

Just a thought! Also, I sent the mod account a private Plurk (I'm freakanature06 there) and I wasn't sure if you've gotten it or not, but... I was checking to see if you still need people helping with applications and/or organization of any variety, and offering my help if you need it! No pressure, I just wanted to make sure you guys got the offer.

Shoot, I just realized that I never responded to June's AC post... how would I go about either staying in the game or coming back?

Hi there! Yeah, I saw. I've been thinking about situations like this, and I've come up with the idea of a quicker "re-app" process. You go to the application page, put "Re-App" in the subject line, put down the name(s) of your character(s), where they live, and some samples of activity in Mallow Hallow. Not quite as involved as a regular app, and it gives people who just miss one or two activity checks a chance to get back in the game relatively quickly. :)

So yeah, do that and I'll get to it as soon as I can!

so uh [nervous sweating] i'm probably being a dumb butt again, but for jobs, how are we supposed to get our characters working, icly? if it's something like working at a random store in the district, is it okay for us just to say "oh, [character] is working at [place] now"?

It's okay! Yeah, having them "hired" by NPCs is fine. :) Ditto for having them fired, if you ever want that to come up.
